Alternative Remedies: Extracts
Let’s just say I love custom packaging 📦
I got a call from a guy one day (word of mouth is great sometimes) who needed some packaging done for a premium line of canna extracts he was releasing. I’m kind of a packaging wizard: I love a technical project, with die cuts, and am really good at coming up with how this thing would work as a flat pack with all the cutouts and folds it needed. 🧙 (below are some quick concepts)
My personal favorite was the matchbox style, with cut out well that houses a square jar inside (for the extract). Plus a bottom cutout window so that a customer can view the contents without opening the box. I also wanted it printed on a soft touch matte texture.
The client happened to love the whole idea, and while chatting we decided - let’s do something more in there.
He had an artist friend who had just passed away. And he owned a lot of his personal sketches and comics. We decided that it would be a great tribute to use his artwork as the surprise factor on the inside, as well as include a folded up printed comic strip inside (like bazooka gum for adults).
